I had a bucket list experience in London - enjoying a cask conditioned ale from a pub, Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese on Fleet St., that pre-dates the US! It was rebuilt after the Great Fire of 1666, but there has been a pub at this location since 1538! It’s a literary hangout, Charles Dickens, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Mark Twain & influencer Herb Chereck were regular customers. If you visit the UK & are a beer lover, try a real ale. They are fantastic!

Peach Old Fashioned
2oz Whiskey
1oz Peach Liqueur
3 dashes Angostura Bitters
Add all ingredients over ice, stir, strain over a large ice cube with a peach wedge to garnish!

My trip to London wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Hayman Distillery. They are the oldest, family-run gin distillery in London! Their journey started with James Burrough, founder of Beefeater Gin, and is now run by the 5th generation, James Hayden & his sister Miranda Hayden. They use the original family’s recipe books to produce their historical gins earning them the title of “The Original Gin”!
