Congratulations to Gas Valet attendant Erick Rodriguez for winning the 2023 Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Men's Soccer Regular Season and Tournament Championship!

In a thrilling game, the top-seeded Clayton State University men's soccer team secured their first championship victory since 2007 by defeating the second-seeded Lander University Bearcats 4-2 in double overtime. After a scoreless first half, the game turned into a scoring frenzy in the second half, with both teams taking the lead and equalizing. Clayton State ultimately emerged victorious, with goals from Wilfried Kamden, John Michael Torres, Alexis Iturria, and Vic Delgado Miller. This historic win earned them a spot in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2010, marking a significant achievement for the team and their coach, Pete Petersen.

People often ask how we find such great staff. Our attendants are clean-cut, professional, and customer-focused. They are loved by many, and it shows.

So what's the secret? I constantly reinforce the idea of going beyond the bare minimum regarding customer service. If a customer wants air in one tire, fill all four. If they wish to have a windshield cleaned, clean the back window as well.

"How you do one thing is how you do everything," I always say.
Respect yourself. Pay attention to details. Be kind to others (when possible). Offer yourself to others in need. Count your coins. Till the soil. Build for your future self.
