Did you know?

The different types of volcanic soil are formed based on how fast lava was flowing before it cooled and the speed at which lava flows depends on how much silica was in it

Slowest - Wines from Silica-rich rhyolite tuff exhibit racy acidity and refined notes of chalk and stone

Fastest - Basalt, on the other hand, is low in silica and produces wines with pronounced minerality, high acidity, and a distinctive steely, smoky and salty character

Nerdy? Yes. But we love it 🤣
