Polarium is proud to announce our role in the project—an initiative led by Telia and sponsored by the Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (PTS) 🌍🔋

Partnering with PowerCell Group, Euromekanik AB, and Soltech Energy Sweden AB, we have extended backup power at a Telia mobile base station from only a few hours to up to 110 days!

This innovative setup combines solar panels, batteries, and hydrogen fuel cells to ensure connectivity even during prolonged power outages.

Polarium supplied ten 100 Ah batteries and an interface unit connected to inverters, enabling autonomous operations and on-site hydrogen production. Together, we’re redefining emergency preparedness with sustainable and robust energy solutions.

“With society’s growing demand for reliable networks, this project is a key step toward future-proofing our infrastructure,” says Staffan Åkesson, Network Director at Telia.
