Busy ka.
May tumutunog na printer.
May nagchachat na customer.
May pumapasok na orders.

Pero bakit parang walang naiipon? 😅

Real talk ha… karamihan sa small printing business owners, papel at ink lang ang kinocompute. Tapos pag may ₱20–₱30 na patong, feeling natin may “tubo” na.

Pero nasaan ang:

⚡ Kuryente ng printer mo?
👩‍💻 Oras mo sa pag-layout?
✂️ Pag-cut, pag-pack, pag-reply sa customer?
🧴 Cleaning at maintenance ng printer?

Kapag hindi mo yan sinama sa costing, hindi negosyo yan. Hobby yan na may konting kita.

Hindi porket may cash flow, profitable na.
May difference ang maraming pa-orders sa may totoong profit.

Kung 100 orders ka nga per week pero ₱5 lang pala real profit mo kada isa dahil mali costing mo… pagod ka lang. Hindi ka yumayaman.

CEO mindset tayo ha.
Bayaran mo sarili mo.
I-compute mo ang kuryente.
I-track mo ang ink consumption.
Magkaroon ka ng sistema.

Kasi kung hindi mo alam ang tunay na cost mo, kahit magdoble pa orders mo… doble lang din ang pagod mo.

Isa sa pinaka dahilan kung bakit maraming home-based crafters ang pagod pero parang walang kinikita ay dahil walang LABOR COST.

Madalas natin sabihin:
“Okay lang, ako lang naman.”
“Hobby ko lang naman 'to.”
“Mahal na kung isasama ko pa.”

Pero eto ang tanong:
Kung may empleyado ka, papayag ba syang walang bayad?
Kung hindi… bakit sayo libre lang?

Simple Example ng Labor Costing (Beginner-Friendly)

Sabihin natin ang labor rate mo ay ₱150 per hour
(budget-friendly rate, realistic for beginners)

⏱️ Time to make 1 personalized item = 15 minutes

Convert to hours:
15 ÷ 60 = 0.25 hour

💰 Labor cost per item:
₱150 × 0.25 = ₱37.50 labor cost per piece

👉 Meaning:
Sa bawat item na ginagawa mo, ₱37.50 dapat bayad sa oras mo at hiwalay pa sa materials, kuryente, packaging, at profit.

At take note ha, labor cost pa lang yan.

Hindi pa kasama materials, kuryente, packaging, tools, at profit.

So kung materials mo ay ₱50 at binenta mo ng ₱100…
Guess what? LUGI KA.

Labor costing is not pagiging ganid.
It’s pagiging patas sa sarili mo at sa negosyo mo.

Home-based ka man o may shop,
business owner ka.

At ang business owner, may sahod.

Wag niyo kasi baratin 😂 Barat na nga bigay ko babaratin pa… 😂😂😂

Nakita ko ‘to sa Shopee.
₱13–₱18 per customized ref magnet.
Personalized na ‘yan ha. May layout, may printing, may cutting, may lamination, may magnet, may packaging tapos may platform fees pa.

Hindi ko ito shinare para mapahiya ang sellers.
Hindi rin ito para mang-away.
Ginamit ko ‘to bilang example ng kung gaano na kababa ang tingin sa effort ng crafters ngayon.

Yes, may business philosophy na
“okay lang maliit ang kita basta maraming benta.”
Gumagana ‘yan sa mass production, imports, factories na kadalasan ginagawa ng malalaking businesses.

Pero sa crafting? Personalized? Handmade?
Hindi ito applicable.
Kasi hindi mo pwedeng i-scale ang oras, pagod, at utak mo tulad ng factory machine.

Sa ₱13–₱18;
• nasaan ang bayad sa design time?
• nasaan ang value ng skills?
• nasaan ang allowance sa errors at reprints?
• nasaan ang profit after platform fees?

Kapag patuloy nating tinatanggap ang pamigay presyo, unti-unti nating pinapatay ang sarili nating industriya.

Customers get used to cheap.
Crafters get burned out.

Hindi ako nandito para mag-judge.
Nandito ako para mag-voice out.
Para ipaalala na may halaga ang gawa natin.

Kung crafter ka at natatakot magtaas ng presyo dahil baka walang umorder,
Baka hindi mo pa lang nahahanap ang tamang customers para sa’yo.

Price your crafts right.

Protect your time.

Respect your skills.

Hindi lahat ng benta ay blessing,
yung may kita, doon nagsisimula ang tunay na negosyo. 💗💪
