A gentle reminder for everyone who feeds stray animals: Good intentions need safe actions.

We understand the kindness behind feeding stray cats and dogs. Many of us do it because we don’t want to see them hungry. But we also need to think about what happens after we leave.
Feeding animals beside roads, parking lots, busy establishments, or other open public areas may unintentionally put them in greater danger.
Animals don’t understand traffic, human cruelty, or the risks around them. Once they know that food is available in a certain place, they will return and stay there.
Unlike us, they cannot protect themselves from speeding vehicles, careless people, or those who may harm them.
Sadly, many of our rescues are victims of vehicular accidents. Some were found injured, paralyzed, or fighting for their lives because they stayed in areas where they were exposed to danger.
Public feeding areas can also become places where irresponsible owners dump unwanted animals, thinking someone will take care of them.
Our goal is to help, but we also need to make sure that our kindness does not unknowingly place animals at higher risk.
If possible, please consider feeding in safer locations:
• Away from roads and moving vehicles
•In quiet areas where animals can hide and rest
•Away from places with heavy foot traffic
•In areas where they are less exposed to cruelty and abandonment
Feeding is an act of compassion. But creating a safe environment is an even greater act of love❤️
