An unforgettable chapter, written in the spirit of craftsmanship and connection.

During The Dutch Masters, we at the Wealthy Whisky Society had the privilege of experiencing what our world is truly about. At our stand, we welcomed enthusiasts and investors alike, guiding them through whisky as a tangible, enduring investment. A story shaped by patience, character, and time.

Perhaps even more meaningful were the moments beyond.

Within our skybox, space was created for genuine conversation. About vision, passion, and life itself. Encounters that extended far beyond the glass, leaving impressions that linger, much like an exceptional dram.

We reflect on a remarkable event, surrounded by individuals who recognize and appreciate true quality.

To those who joined us, thank you.
This was more than an event. This was a statement.

🥃 Whisky on the Titanic

The Titanic was more than a ship. It was a floating hotel, and no expense was spared. First-class passengers were served everything from oysters to ci**rs, and whisky was definitely on the list. While no bottles have ever been recovered from the wreck, menus and stock lists suggest single malts and blends were poured freely in the grand dining rooms.

Brands weren’t named, but Scotch was popular with the elite of the time. Somewhere deep in the Atlantic, those bottles still rest. Uncorked, untouched. A dram lost forever. And perhaps the finest one never drunk.

🥃 Temperature, the Invisible Hand

A whisky responds to warmth like parchment to fire. Too cold and it retreats, too warm and it unravels. Body temperature, cupped within the right glass, is where it speaks most fluently. True control begins here.

🥃 Medicinal Whisky During Prohibition

During Prohibition in 1920s America, booze was illegal. Unless, that is, your doctor prescribed it. Whisky was considered “medicinal,” and licensed pharmacies could legally sell it by the bottle. Distilleries like Old Forester and Brown‑Forman stayed afloat by supplying hospitals and chemists.

The labels looked official, but inside was the real thing. Proper whisky, no different from before the ban. People lined up with “stomach aches” and “sore throats” just to get their prescription. It was a legal loophole everyone walked through. Because even in hard times, a dram can be a remedy.

🥃 Silence Before the First Sip

The first sip deserves no commentary. It calls not for judgement, but for reverence. Drink in silence. It is there the whisky introduces itself. Gently. Truthfully. A meeting not of mouth and spirit, but of presence and patience.

🥃 Shackleton’s Antarctic Dram

In 1907, explorer Ernest Shackleton led an expedition to the South Pole and brought crates of whisky to survive the bitter cold. When the team left in 1909, they abandoned a few cases in their wooden hut. A hundred years later, a team discovered the whisky still buried in ice and remarkably, it was perfectly preserved.

A few bottles were flown out, analysed, and even recreated for a special edition. The taste? Smoky, delicate, and rich with history. These weren’t just drinks—they were time capsules. It’s the kind of dram you raise to explorers and ghosts.
