The Facility
Descanso Apartments consist of two 3-storey buildings situated at Omonia Olupona Street in Aroje Ogbomoso. These facilities are not far from LAUTECH campus and therefore are suitable for postgraduate students and those who have seminars, workshops and other events in the institution. The design also makes the rooms suitable for workers whose families are not in Ogbomoso and want a com
fortable small place to rest and relax after the day’s work is over. The facilities are ideal for people who visit Ogbomoso for business and/or social engagements for a couple of days. Each room is self-contained with a ceiling fan, a kitchenette equipped with electrical points for small hot plates, floor and wall cabinets, drainage with sink and a combined toilet and bathroom. Both kitchenette and bathroom floors and walls are fully tiled. There is a built-in wardrobe and a balcony is attached to each room where residents can relax. The balcony is big enough to allow residents spread their clothes after washing. Satellite TV is available so you can watch your favourite TV programmes even if you are away from your home. Safety and Security
Management places emphasis on the safety and security of residents. To achieve this, trained security personnel are on the premises round the clock. In addition, the blocks are secured by high fence and reinforced by barbed wires and gates. There are other security measures also in place which cannot be disclosed for strategic security reasons. Utilities
The apartments are powered by a dedicated 100 KVA transformer. In addition to this, each room has at least one light point powered by solar energy whenever there is a public power outage. This provides a clean source of light so that residents who wish to study can continue to do so when there is public power failure. Low noise emission generator set is available to provide additional power source during prolonged public power outage so that residents can charge their telephone handsets, computer etc. A borehole provides potable water which is piped into each room for the comfort of the residents. There is a big underground water reservoir in addition to 4 X 4,000 litre tanks in each block so there is never shortage of water. Other features
There are some parking spaces for vehicles within the fenced premises. There is a manager who will promptly attend to whatever issues you may have. Arrangements have been made so that residents who do not wish to leave the premises can have their meals brought to them by one of the leading restaurants in town. In the future hair dressing saloon, mini market, business centre and internet café services shall be offered on the premises. If you want a quiet place to rest, or concentrate on your studies/business you need not look further, Descanso Apartments provide you with a serene environment for study, business, rest or recuperation.
