Our management team led by our MD, Girish Sharma paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Mr. Olanipekun Olukoyede.

The Commission was commended for the stellar work they are doing in delivering their mandate.

Conversations centred on the financial dimensions of the illicit alcohol trade and the role of stronger enforcement in protecting Nigeria’s economy.

The team underscored the importance of enforcement that targets the financiers, and money flows behind these operations, alongside continued product-level action.

Opportunities for closer collaboration were also explored, particularly around intelligence sharing on illicit financial flows, asset tracing, and the disruption of organized networks, all critical to safeguarding government revenue and ensuring a level playing field for compliant manufacturers.

We thank the Chairman and the EFCC team for the warm reception and constructive engagement, and we look forward to building on this partnership.

At Guinness we are committed to a smooth working experience with all our stakeholders as we continue to build for more.

At Guinness Nigeria, we recognise the importance of strong partnerships in driving sustainable business growth and national development.

Today, our management team led by our MD, Girish Sharma, paid a courtesy visit to the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, to commend the Nigeria Police Force on its sustained efforts to safeguard lives, property, and national stability.

The visit reinforced this longstanding relationship and opened conversations on areas of shared concern, chief among them, the growing menace of illicit alcohol, which poses serious health risks to consumers and undermines legitimate industry and government revenue alike.

Discussions also touched on deeper collaboration around intelligence sharing, crisis response, and the establishment of a more structured engagement framework to support faster coordination on matters of mutual interest.

We appreciate the IGP and his team for the warm reception and the candid exchange, and we look forward to building on this engagement in the months ahead.

Today, Guinness Nigeria turns 76.

For over seven decades, we have built more than a business, we have built a legacy. From our pioneering beginnings in 1950, to commissioning the first Guinness brewery outside Ireland and the UK, to becoming one of Nigeria’s most respected total beverage companies, our journey has been defined by resilience, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

The company we are building for the future is bolder than the one we have been. More agile. More consumer obsessed. More disciplined in how we operate. More ambitious in what we deliver.

We are building for more. More reach, more relevance, and more reasons to be a company greatly treasured by all Nigerians.

Thank you for the role you play in our story. Thank you for helping us celebrate life, every day, everywhere.

The best of Guinness Nigeria is still ahead.

Happy 76th Anniversary.

Today is World Day for Safety and Health at Work.

This year, we’re looking beyond the helmets and the boots to ask a bigger question: how’s work? Not the deliverables. You.
Because a truly safe workplace protects the mind and emotions just as much as the body.

The Guinness Nigeria HR and Safety Teams are proud to champion a healthy psychosocial working environment, today and every day.

Guinness Nigeria made a bold statement at the 7th Industry Awards, emerging as one of the night’s most decorated companies with five major wins, including Most Outstanding Company in Sustainability 2025/2026.

The recognition reflects a year of measurable impact from achieving 100% recyclable packaging to expanding clean water access through solar-powered boreholes, and sustaining over 30 years of eye care support with 150 cataract surgeries and upgraded eye centres.

Malta Guinness was named Malt Brand of the Year for its “Real in Every Way” campaign, driving cultural relevance and over a million online engagements, while Smirnoff RTD secured Outstanding RTD Brand of the Year with its inclusivity-driven “This is how we chill” platform, brought to life across cities and major cultural moments like Calabar Carnival.

Leadership excellence sealed the sweep. Rotimi Odusola was honoured as Outstanding Communications Personality of the Year, and Oluwaponmile Alabi earned Marketer of the Year.

Together, these wins tell a clear story: disciplined ex*****on, deep consumer obsession, and a relentless commitment to building a business that performs today while shaping a more sustainable tomorrow.

Our Managing Director, Girish Sharma, alongside members of the Guinness leadership team, recently paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Director of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC), Nonye Ayeni.

It was a genuinely engaging and insightful meeting and an opportunity to recognise NEPC’s continued work in advancing non-oil exports and expanding market access for Nigerian businesses. We also had practical, forward-looking conversations around strengthening export capacity and tapping into regional trade opportunities.

We’re excited about the alignment from both teams and the opportunity to do more together in supporting Nigeria’s export growth journey.

Road safety is not a campaign. It is a commitment.

On Monday in Abuja, the Beer Sectoral Group renewed a five year Memorandum of Understanding with the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) to eliminate drink-driving and strengthen a national culture of responsible alcohol consumption.

This partnership brings together the enforcement authority of the FRSC and the reach, responsibility, and influence of industry to tackle one of the most preventable causes of road accidents in Nigeria.

The renewed agreement sets a clear agenda: intensified nationwide advocacy, stronger public education, and targeted interventions designed to address drink-driving at its root.

For us at Guinness Nigeria Plc, this is part of a broader commitment to promoting responsible drinking and protecting the communities we serve. We believe that alcohol and the steering wheel should never mix, and that real progress is measured in lives protected and families kept whole.

The MoU was formally signed by Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed and the Beer Sectoral Group (BSG), in the presence of key industry leaders, including Thibaut Boidin of Nigerian Breweries, Nick Kade of International Breweries, and our Managing Director, Girish Sharma.

The message is clear: if you drink, do not drive.
