At Seña, every vine is our priority. Planted in 1998, this 42-hectare vineyard in Ocoa was selected by the visionary vintners Eduardo Chadwick and Robert Mondavi for its ideal conditions for cultivating Bordeaux varieties.

The Mediterranean climate of the Aconcagua Valley, with its warm, dry summers and cold, rainy winters, plays a crucial role regulating a healthy annual vine cycle. However, it's the nuanced interplay of cooling breezes from Pacific Ocean and Coastal Mountains, generous sun exposure, and varied volcanic and colluvial soils that set the stage for Seña each vintage.

The confluence of these natural factors creates grapes that balance elegance and intensity in equal measure, displaying the full spectrum of their varietal characteristics. Throughout the growing season, practices such as careful shoot thinning and daily sample testing ensure that each of our Bordeaux varietals is cultivated to express the best of our world-class Chilean terroir.

En Seña, cada parra es nuestra prioridad. Plantado en 1998, este viñedo de 42 hectáreas en Ocoa fue elegido por los visionarios viñateros Eduardo Chadwick y Robert Mondavi por sus condiciones ideales para el cultivo de variedades bordolesas.

El clima mediterráneo del Valle de Aconcagua, con sus veranos cálidos y secos, y sus inviernos fríos y lluviosos, desempeña un papel crucial en la regulación de un ciclo anual de la vid saludable. Sin embargo, es la danza sutil de las brisas refrescantes del Pacífico y las montañas de la Cordillera de la Costa, la generosa exposición al sol, y la diversidad de suelos volcánicos, coluviales y aluviales lo que prepara el escenario para Seña en cada cosecha.

La convergencia de estos factores naturales da vida a uvas que equilibran la elegancia y la intensidad con igual medida, exhibiendo todo el espectro de sus características varietales. A lo largo de la temporada de crecimiento, prácticas como la poda cuidadosa y las catas diarias de las muestras aseguran que cada una de nuestras variedades de Burdeos sea cultivada para expresar lo mejor de nuestro terroir chileno de clase mundial.
