Nikka Whisky’s first distillery and guardian of their tradition, Yoichi is located on the coast of Hokkaido, the northernmost island of Japan.
Crafted using methods from the past, such as direct coal heating, the Yoichi single malt truly captures the authentic character of its exceptional location, with its refined coastal and peat notes.
Along with Yoichi’s original smokiness, this 10-year-old version offers round maturity generated over years integrated with distinctive peaty, well-balanced woody and delicate herbaceous notes.

It is a premium blend of the historical Japanese whisky maker, is a worthy ambassador of the Japanese knowhow and culture, as well as Nikka’s expertise. GLENMORANGIE A TALE OF TOKYO 70CL

It represents a celebration of Japan’s vibrant culture. Inspired by his travels, Dr. Bill Lumsden, the director of whisky creation, crafted this unique single malt. This release marks the fourth installment in the ‘Tale of’ series.

Tasting Notes
• Firstly, on the nose, expect an aromatic bouquet. Sandalwood and incense greet you, mingling with dried cherries and vanilla. Additionally, notes of star anise and Glenmorangie’s signature tangy orange add complexity.
• Secondly, as you taste, the whisky reveals a silky palate. Citrus flavors intertwine with marzipan, fennel, and dried fruit. Then, White pepper, toffee apple, and a hint of cinnamon further enhance the experience. Each sip showcases a delightful balance of bold and subtle notes.
• Finally, the finish is equally rewarding. Mandarin and toasted almonds linger on the palate, offering a nutty and refreshing conclusion. This whisky combines bright flavors with soft sweetness, creating a dynamic tasting experience.

‘Tale of the Forest’ is a distinctive release from the Glenmorangie distillery, made using barley kilned alongside a range of woodland botanicals. It’s been aged in bourbon casks, and the end result is wonderfully herbaceous. The bottle features artwork from illustrator Pomme Chan.
