Le Vigneron Inconnu 2020
Intense color with purple reflections. The nose opens with fresh red and black fruits (blackberries and morello cherries) with nuances of spices and truffles. Discreetly balsamic woodiness. The palate is powerful and warm, fleshy and fragrant. On the finish, we appreciate its fullness, its silky tannins and its fruity and spicy persistence. The Vigneron Inconnu cuvée conceals a complexity and power rarely expressed in the wines of La Tuilerie du Puy .
Terroir: Clay-limestone soil on rocky subsoil.
Grapes: Merlot (75%), Cabernet Sauvignon (25%)
Yield: 30 Hl/Ha
The vines: average age of the plots 55 years, pruned using Guyot Double
Density: 5000 vines/hectare
Vinification : The grapes are destemmed and sorted. They are then put in vats for 4 to 6 weeks in order to allow a slow extraction, guarantee of a perfect expression of our terroir. Each parcel is identified and vinified in separate thermo-regulated stainless steel vats in order to perfect and sublimate future blends.
Ageing: The wine, racked regularly throughout its ageing, ages 18 months in French oak barrels (100% new barrels).
