Kissa Kursi Ka - despite its shoddy production values - has very limited competition in terms of peers when it comes to Political Satire in Bollywood. Released in the middle of the emergency - it dared to mock the Gandhis and mock the hollowness of netas - no surprise, it faced the wrath of Sanjay Gandhi.

But the face of politicians it showed then - the ways of their operation and the greed of the netas - all fit in excellently well today - 40 years+ down the line, NOTHING really has changed in the way politicians and politics works in this nation.
