Troops deployed along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district opened fire after detecting a Pakistani drone entering Indian airspace early Sunday morning.
The drone was spotted hovering briefly over the Digwar area at around 6:10 AM before returning towards Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) after troops fired multiple rounds.
Officials confirmed this is the second such incident in three days, following a similar drone sighting on February 27 in the same sector. A thorough search operation was launched to rule out any possible airdropping of weapons, explosives, or narcotics.
Security forces remain on high alert amid rising cross-border drone activity, reinforcing surveillance and defensive measures along the frontier.
