New Pour House Week Loading, Fresh Mischief.
😎🍻🧠🎉

Right, deep breath… last week brought cider, koala surgery, and temperatures that turned the team into glowing beauties (even the usual cool Dan)!!

This week? We’re back with a refreshed team, a rotating tap line-up, and the usual shenanigans (with just a hint of mischief).

Here’s what’s coming up:

🟣 Wednesday – Runners meet from 6pm for a 6.30pm departure. Come for the run, stay for the cold pint & 10% off post-run drinks. Lycra optional, but enthusiasm appreciated. Everyone welcome and if you’ve not been before, why not make tomorrow the day that you meet us.

🟡 Thursday – QUIZ NIGHT
7pm start. Teams of 4–6. £2 per head. Cash prizes. Fab questions (even if I say so myself).

And a guest quiz host this month… what could possibly go wrong?

🟠 Friday to Sunday
A cool cellar, a cracking beer list (lots of new kegs incoming 👀), and the usual end-of-week energy. Whether you’re starting strong or winding down, we’ve got a seat (and a snack) for you.

From alcohol-free to imperial madness, from crisp Helles to sour face-pullers, there’s something for every fridge, cool bag, picnic bench or garden chair.

SUNDAY: Koala Lives, the Cider Flows & the Cellar’s Cool 😎
🐾🍎🐨🎾

The sun may have frazzled a few brains this week… including those of the Chief Bar Dog and his overly enthusiastic apprentice.

Their heatwave mischief?
One unsuspecting stuffed koala.
Torn limb from limb, ears detached, and sent to the great Toybox in the Sky… or so we thought.

But thanks to emergency surgery (a.k.a. a needle, thread, and a steady pour of determination), Koala lives on. Now proudly sporting one leg, two reattached ears and several battle scars.

Basically, the soft toy version of most of us after a full weekend in the sun!!!

But fear not:
💨 The cellar’s a heavenly 17 degrees
🍻 The mini cider festival is still going (some flavours already gone!)
🎾 The Wimbledon Men’s Final will be on later
🕑 We’re open 2–8pm

Whether you’re nursing a sore head or feel like Koala after a heavy weekend, today is about survival, celebration and sipping something cold in good company.

SATURDAY: well that escalated quickly…

First up - huge thanks to everyone who came to our Three Daggers showcase last night, it was a warm one but we hope you had a great time and enjoyed all the samples 🙌

Massive thanks to Ricky & Katie for the generous samples, good chat, and great beer. We loved hosting you (and drinking your creations)!

Now… onto today and she’s a big one:

🧁 10:30AM – Menopause Café
If you’re going through it, supporting someone who is, or just fancy a cuppa, some laughs & cake and some solidarity — come along.

🎾 5PM – Wimbledon Ladies Final
Game. Set. Pour.

🍎 4PM – Mini Cider Festival
10 cracking ciders. One free glass (yours to keep). When they’re gone, they’re gone… so don’t dawdle

⚽ 8PM Women’s Euro’s – England v Wales. We’ll have it on – because who doesn’t love a bit of cross-border sporting tension?

Meanwhile… our cellar is a cool 17°C, the beers are colder, and the welcome’s warm.

Whatever you’re up to, we would love to be part of your Saturday plans - or at least pop in to recharge, rehydrate, and regale us with your weekend stories.

It’s Thursday - Fridays little annoying cousin. You know the one, they want to be the main event but just aren’t!!

Here are 5 things you probably didn’t know about Thursdays (and 1 excellent reason to spend yours with us👇):

1️⃣ The name “Thursday” comes from Thor’s Day - and if that doesn’t justify a mighty pint, we don’t know what does. ⚡🍺
2️⃣ In Thai culture, Thursdays are linked to growth - which sounds a lot like our beer list (and possibly your snack cravings).
3️⃣ Jupiter is the Roman god of Thursday. He ruled the sky. We rule the cellar - which, conveniently, is the coolest place in town today. 🧊
4️⃣ The Guinness World Records were founded on a Thursday. We’re not saying you’ll break any tonight… but we’re also not stopping you.

Today

⚽ England v Netherlands, Women’s Euros (5pm KO)Catch the match with a pint in hand and cheer on the Lionesses 🦁

🏃The Pour House Runners are out for their regular run. Meet from 6pm, set off at 6.30pm. Come for the run, stay for the beer (with 10% off for runners!).

Thursday

🍺 Just a good old-fashioned evening of great beers and no nonsense. We’ve got summer specials on the taps and cider cold enough to make your weekend start early.

Friday

🍻 Three Daggers Showcase from 5pm

Meet the team, hear their story, and taste some cracking beers brewed just down the road. Samples, stories, and maybe a surprise or two. Free entry, great company.

Saturday

🧁 Menopause Café (10.30am–12.30pm)
Everyone welcome — whether you’re going through it, curious, or supporting someone else. Expect friendly chats, good cake, and a safe space.

🎾 Wimbledon Women’s Final will be on tennis and cold drinks? A combo we can get behind

🍏 Mini Cider Festival from 4pm. 15 ciders, free glass (while stocks last), and when they’re gone… they’re gone.

Come chill, rehydrate, and toast the end of the week with snacks, sunshine (hopefully), and whatever’s left in the cider festival lineup!
