Some top wine suggestions for the upcoming sunny weekend!

- No Fine Print Cabernet Sauvignon, a rich, black fruit laden offering from northern Lodi in the US. It is complex and textured, a perfect dinner treat
- Delinquente Wines Screaming Betty Vermentino, intense passion fruit aromas give way to herbal notes with a certain salinity indicative of vermentino. It is bold and punchy, an ideal thirst quencher!
- Pepin Orange, from Alsace featuring a selection of noble grapes left in contact with the skins for an extended period of time creating this robust and zesty wine. It has flavours of tropical fruits, soft spices and a distinct oily mouthfeel. Ones for lovers of skin contact wines!
- Lapierre Raisins Gaulois Beaujolais, a light, natural, sour cherry flavour packed wine that is perfect served chilled on a hot day. As the label suggests, the wine is super juicy, super light and comes from the family of one of the founding fathers of natural winemaking, Marcel Lapierre.

Join us for our South African wine tasting! It’s our first of the year, and such a fantastic theme to start with.

We’ve asked South African wine expert Ian Haggie to come in and take us through a selection of wines showcasing the best of this fascinating country, and we will provide a tasty bunch of nibbles to compliment the wines.

Tickets are available online and in both shops for £30.

On Friday the Seven Cellars team congregated at Lou’s house for an unforgettable evening.

We had a quite simply amazing experience in tasting vintages from 2023, all the way back to 2014 of the stunning La Rocca and Calvarino wines from the powerhouse producer Pieropan. This really was an unbelievable treat and fascinating for us all to taste how these wines evolve with age.

We all brought bottles to share with each other and taste. Some of our favourite wines and just special beauties we were desperate for each other to try. We had wines ranging from Barbaresco to Burgundy, to Greco di Tufo to a German Riesling from 2005!!! (Pictured is the aftermath).

Before we knew it a Karaoke machine had been wheeled in to our tasting Dojo. Spellbing performances and angelic voices aplenty! An integral part to any professional wine tasting…

The last slide sums up the fragility that was felt amongst the staff on Saturday morning… but it shows the lengths that we are willing to go through in order to strengthen our pallets and broaden our knowledge in order to give our customers the top notch service they deserve!

First time judging a wine competition yesterday. It was fantastic fun and it shows the people involved in the wine trade are such a great bunch. With thanks to for the invitation and of course to all the other fellow judges for making it such a great day.

5 current buns in a bakers shop and 5 rare bourbons in a wine shop! All from the fantastic Buffalo Trace distillery and available in store only. We don’t put these online to discourage flippers we don’t know and to make sure our regular local customers are able to buy them. In store now.

Hello!👋 sadly not quite the whole team made it in for this photo. Seven Cellars what a lovely bunch of 🍇. On our group chat we came up with some choice names if we were a band… anyway, here we are, having had a tasting session so we can keep giving the good advice and filling our shelves with the best wines in the world

In the southern reaches of France, Shiraz (AKA Syrah) has spread to all corners of the world! It’s known for producing some of the world’s great red wines — capable of perfume, power and persistence.
In Australia it accounts for 45% of production, and across the globe, a hefty 7% of variety plantings.
New World versions, like those from Australia and the USA, are often more luscious and fruity in style, loaded with plum, blueberry and plenty of oaky richness. Old World expressions, like those from France in the Rhône Valley, can be more savoury and tend towards flavours of olive, lavender and pepper. Both are equally delicious and are simply a matter of taste!

Meet the team bringing their passion, knowledge, and expertise to your glass!

🍇 Louise – Owner of Seven Cellars, Brighton resident for over 20 years, and a graduate of the University of Brighton and Plumpton College. She loves finding wines that break the mold!

🍷 Christie – Manager and wine expert! She moved to Brighton in 2019 and has been part of Seven Cellars ever since. She recently completed her WSET Diploma in Wine, a huge achievement that reflects her deep expertise and commitment to the world of wine.

🍾 Zsofia – If you’ve been to our Brighton Station store, you’ll know Zsofia! She’s always on hand to help customers pick out the perfect bottle.

🎨 Moyra – A talented artist and wine buff who brings creativity and passion to our team.

🍺 Sarah – Our resident beer expert, making sure our selection is top quality and packed with the best craft brews around.
