🌊🐚 One of the most beautiful parts of this journey is how the world suddenly feels so small, and so deeply connected. This weekend I had the pleasure of chatting with a lovely lady who lives all the way in Oregon USA. Thanks to her, I learned that their state animal is the 🦫 beaver, and that while they do not have a big city right on the coast, Oregon has a truly spectacular coastline of its own! I am so incredibly chuffed that she chose one of my hand-thrown, hand-made ceramic bowls (remember, these wee ones are hand wash only!), along with a couple of beachcombed treasures, to help her feel a little closer to her Scottish roots.
This is the exact spirit of A Pinch of Salt. It is about connecting people through stories, sharing pieces of our rugged coastline, and creating that quiet magic we so often tend to forget in our busy daily lives. A piece of clay shaped by my hands, and a bundle of sea treasures shaped by the Scottish tides, are now traveling across the Atlantic to bring a piece of home to Oregon.
From the Carrick coast to the rest of the world... thank you for letting me share this magic with you. 🤍 clay, sea, and soul.
