Sam’s tastings always promise to be some of the most engaging and entertaining we’ve ever had the privilege of attending. You’ll have the chance to order her book via our website when you book, or pick up a copy on the night.

Thanks to everyone who came down last night to the Palate BierHalle, and a special shoutout to this legend who turned up in lederhosen and bagged themselves a FREE Paulaner b**r.

Same again tonight?

Warm pretzels, (some) German tunes, German w**e by the glass and of course plenty of b**rs (although limited and once they’re gone, they’re gone!)

We’re doing it. Loads of Oktoberfest b**rs will be in the fridge all weekend, Michelle promises pretzels, some German disco will grace the airwaves (occasionally). Free Paulaner for anyone actually in Lederhosen. Why not?! All weekend.

Kudos to Harriet for a fantastically informative and funny tasting last night, all centered around iconic rivers and the grapes that are grown beside them.

We explored the Douro, the Rhine, the Loire, the Garonne, the Rhône and even the Bodrog. But which one is the longest?! Who can remember.

W**es were great, company too.

Back to School for us with our next W**e Club: Pinot Noir DEEP DIVE 🤿

One of the most revered varieties, capable of making the best w**es on the planet. But a total diva too. The best always are.

We’ll be tasting through 3 expressions of this finickity-yet-beautiful, thin-skinned grape, with plenty of facts and chat along the way.

1 hour, 3 w**es, £15. The best after school club in town.

TOTAL ECLIPSE—just adding to the strange sensation that we are currently living in the Truman Show with these endless blue skies & heatwaves.

When will the rain come?! 😭

Very grateful to live by the sea, drink beautiful w**es and sit on big rocks though.

This Marlborough, New Zealand Chardonnay arrived yesterday, alongside a new Sauvignon Blanc & Pinot Noir.

Lively Chard, Rich & textural. Lemon curd, toasted chestnuts and sea spray finish. Yum.

Selection Massale is run by Dan Gillett, founder of New Zealand’s foremost organic and natural w**e distribution company.

Fruit is sourced from various organic vineyards across New Zealand, Dan set out to produce consistently delicious, well made, organic w**es that best represent variety, region, and vineyard.

“Selection Massale” is the French term used to describe the traditional method of vineyard propagation, and represents a selection of unique w**es from unique vineyards from around New Zealand.

Excited to also add some Central Otago Riesling & Pinot Noir to our shelves from one of our favourite New Zealand growers— La Ferme de Sato, which joins their stunning Chenin Blanc. All very low intervention w**emaking, certified organic & Biodynamic methods used.

Here till 8pm this evening, sun is hot and w**es are chilled. 😎
