Meet Luna, she is always so friendly and happy to see us all.

She is another one that can’t walk past the shop without coming in to say hi and that has been a lot over the years. 🐶

Don’t forget the two events happening this weekend in Wadsley.

There is an Easter quiz and bingo at the horse and jockey 4th April starting at 6pm. Followed by an 80’s disco.

On Sunday there is an Easter event at Wadsley house social club starting at 12.30, make sure you’ve got your tickets before they sell out.

Meet our dog of the month for April.

Guy, or as we like to affectionately call him, slobber chops.

He’s been visiting us for years and very much looks forward to his treat at the till.

So much so he has been known to nearly take our whole hand.

Wadsley Parish Church has an Easter trail planned for 28th March 10am-12pm.

Free drinks and cakes, everyone is welcome.

The Horse and Jockey have a Fun-Filled evening for all the family!😃

Introducing more of our young makers raising money for great causes by selling their things in the shop.

I’ll let them introduce themselves in their own words, please help by supporting them:

Our names are Matilda and Erin, we’re both in year 9, and we’re working together to fundraise for our camps International trip to Costa rica in 2027

The amazing Green Shop has kindly let us sell our dog bandanas, assisting us with our endeavour. In Costa rica, we will be helping rural communities, and environmental projects. We are excited about making a difference to their communities and forming relationships with those around us.

Our dog bandanas come in small, medium and large, with different designs so you can choose something that will look awesome on your dog! 🦴 🐕

I am Sophia and I’m raising money for a trip to Kenya in 2027 with Camps International, where I will be taking part in some voluntary projects including working in schools, construction and wildlife programmes.

To help raise the money I am selling prints and items from my hand painted pictures and also some crocheted keyrings.

Introducing the first 2 of our young makers that we have in the shop currently, I’ll let them introduce them selves in their own words and the wonderful reasons they are raising money, please help us support them if you can:

My name is Theo, I’m a 16 year old local school pupil who’s been selling home made dog biscuits at The Green Shop. I first had the idea when I signed up to a Camps International volunteering expedition to Kenya and I needed to fundraise. The Green Shop kindly let me sell the biscuits at their shop and they have sold really well, contributing to my overall fundraising target.

My volunteering experience in Kenya was so eye opening and rewarding, I eagerly signed up a further similar expedition where I’ll be travelling to Costa Rica in 2027. Again, The Green Shop has kindly allowed me to make and sell the dog biscuits and I’ll continue to do this until I depart next year.

This opportunity has been great as it’s given me some personal responsibility and I’m really grateful to The Green Shop and everyone who has supported me with buying my dog biscuits. Thank you so much!

Hi! I’m Gabriella, I’m 14 and I am fundraising to go on an expedition to Kenya with Camps International in 2027 with my school.

Whilst there I will get to help the local community by building classrooms, painting, making sure the communities get clean drinking water, treep planting, wildlife conservation (for example, building elephant deterrent fences) and so much more!

To help fundraise the money I am going to row the coastline of Kenya and I have also designed cards and other stationary to sell!
