Here at MSC Joinery Services we have been busy for the last few months working at a local new build property.
We firstly made and fitted the staircase, and then fitted the doors and skirting and architrave.
We have just finished the bespoke kitchen built entirely from birch plywood and maple. No MDF or chipboard was used.
The curved doors were a first for us but they came out perfectly.

So, that’s 2024 done for the MSC Joinery Services team. In the last week we have been busy wrapping up the last for jobs before Christmas. Another staircase makeover completed by MSC Joinery Services. We enjoyed solving the problem with newel posts not being in line. We have many years experience with most types of stairs and balustrades. At MSC Joinery Services we’ve been busy on the run up to Christmas. A couple of projects that we have completed are some replacement windows for a grade 2 listed cottage in Tiptree. These consisted of a mixture of traditional flush casements, a French casement, a Yorkshire (horizontal) sliding sash and some vertical sliding sashes all made to match existing. Just be on your guard people, there’s yet another scamming scumbag doing the rounds. I’ve just had a phone call claiming to be from Barclays telling me my account has been logged into by a device in Liverpool and they have set up direct debits. They were very convincing, but they had called me on my work mobile that is not linked in any way to my bank account. They got quite hostile when I challenged them. Even ringing me back when I hung up them. I rang Barclays and they confirmed nothing had been accessed and it was definitely a scam. They were asking me to generate an activation code so they could enter my account.

The last couple of weeks have been all about stairs for MSC Joinery Services. First we made and installed a straight flight with a 1/4 landing and bullnose step at the bottom. The customer chose linear fluted spindles with newels to match.
The last couple of days we have made and fitted a dog leg flight with 2no. 1/4 landings and square spindles and newels.
And this afternoon we fitted 2 runs of oak mop stick handrails on antique brass wall brackets

It has been our absolute pleasure to help a local young couple renovate their first home together. We started with a staircase makeover. Then hung new oak veneered doors throughout with antique brass ironmongery and then fitted the kitchen which we finished today. Good luck in your new home Hannah and Robbie.

Today we completed another stunning staircase transformation. The old painted timber balustrade rails were removed. We overclad the newel posts with solid oak. The strings were covered with oak veneered MDF and the new oak hand and base rails were fitted. Toughened glass panels were then fitted on chrome clamps. Sometimes we get asked to solve a problem that people think not possible. At MSC Joinery Services we like to think we are good at solving problems with innovative ideas. This local customer was struggling for storage space. So we came up with an idea to have lift up stairs. MSC Joinery Services have over 35 years experience in purpose made joinery and especially staircases. We pride ourselves in being able to fit a staircase in to almost any space. This particular project replaced a loft ladder and gave the property owners safe access to more room upstairs.
