Having a couple of days (and nights!) of sewing for pleasure!
Just finishing off putting the trees in the background hills on this piece l started a few weeks ago. Really struggling to keep it to one colour! So tempted to sew in some colours ...
Working my way through a pile of unfinished projects .. it is nearly midnight and l could carry on for hours :)

Closing for a few days just to have a break .. and sew .. and maybe paint!
Call in tomorrow if you need any framing done for weekend.
All orders will be ready to be picked up Wednesday 6th October when the shop opens again.
But ... tonight until midnight l will be at the laptop trying to beat the Microsoft deadline!

Editing Thursday morning ... publisher is still active!
Reading comments on relevant forums there are a lot of unhappy people who, like me have relied Microsoft Publisher for over 30 years. 3 decades of work. But the positive is that although Affinity is way more technical than l am able translate it is actually making card production easier!

All the cards l design and print are made on Microsoft Publisher. All the labels l use l design and print ... in fact everything l do on the pc for the shop is done via Publisher.
Microsoft are finishing it. Everyone has had a years notice but learning a new software and transferring hundreds of files is very challenging!
I am very aware that people are buying fewer cards but l am still carrying on designing and producing cards.
I have until midnight Wednesday to open my files ... after that Microsoft close all files and no more access!
So l have learnt a new software .. a new language!!
And new designs and new formats and new challenges!!
They say learn a new language to keep the brain going ... :)
