A £52 million scheme to rebuild four community hospitals in North Staffordshire has hit a 'stalemate' - due to new NHS funding rules. Initial plans for the integrated care hubs (ICHs) at the Leek Moorlands, Bradwell and Haywood Hospital sites, along with a new site in Longton, were agreed by local NHS commissioners in 2019.

We were called at 4.20pm on Tuesday (7 January ) to the B5053 between Onecote and Warslow, after a white Ford Transit van came into collision with four vehicles, including a red Nissan Qashqai and a blue VW Golf.

LEEK: Pensioner Andrew Terry has denied a charge of failing to comply with the notification requirements of the S*x Offenders' Register. The 69-year-old, of Grosvenor Street, Leek, is alleged to have failed to complete his annual notification with the police on November 5. His trial will be held at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on September 26 and his bail was extended.
