Bhanu, a much-loved lion at London Zoo, has been put to sleep at the age of 16 due to declining health linked to old age.

In his final period, he was under close observation from the zoo’s veterinary team as his condition worsened. Since arriving in 2016, Bhanu became a standout figure in the Land of the Lions exhibit, capturing the attention of visitors and staff alike. Over the years, he also fathered three cubs.

Surrey Police has issued a significant update regarding an alleged r**e in Epsom, stating that investigators have found “no evidence of the offence as reported.”
The investigation began after a woman in her 20s reported that she had been attacked by several men outside Epsom Methodist Church in the early hours of Saturday, April 11. She said she had been followed after leaving Labyrinth nightclub late on Friday night, with the alleged incident occurring between 2am and 4am.
Following the report, social media footage showed large crowds protesting, with some individuals throwing objects at police officers in riot gear. Demonstrators called on authorities to disclose details about the suspects, particularly their ethnicity.
