Full day in Disney yesterday finished off with the spectacular firework display!

When pupils from Grove Academy go on their annual tour of Flanders and the battlefields of the Somme, they take with them a wreath that I present to them each year with a message from myself as Lord Provost on behalf of the people of Dundee.
The students will lay the wreath as part of the Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate in Ypres which has been held at 8pm every evening since 1928 to honour the fallen who gave their lives during the Great War.

Balmuir Sheds is now looking for another young person or school leaver age ( 16 - 18 ) to join our Fantastic team of Shed Builders. Our working hours are 8am till 4pm Monday to Friday. We manufacture sheds from scratch to installing them into our clients gardens. Heavy Lifting and a fast pace is essential.
We are looking to teach the right individual an insight into adult working life and an insight into the Joinery profession, Which will give them the a better chance and a step ahead in securing an Apprenticeship in Joinery.

We were invited along to a sneak preview of the new premisses in Broughty Ferry. We took our S4 Bakery class along to try some of the smoothies and cakes which will be on offer. This was such a great experience for our young people! Thank you again 🩵📖🌳

Thank you to Abertay for coming to work with our S3 Engineering classes throughout Monday. The winning sandcastle held 16kg! The winning teams were delighted with their vouchers they received as prizes from and thank you! 🩵📖🌳
