UPDATE*

A few issues uncovered whilst stripping the shop out.
Unfortunately, there's an issue with the ceiling structure, which means a structural engineer has to be consulted, to ensure going forward, the shop is made safe for both customers & staff.
Safety of our customers & staff in future is paramount, therefore this has to be made compliant before we can proceed with any further works.

Obviously this is not the news we wanted to hear, as we'd hoped to be opening the shop back up soon after the new year.
However it is what it is unfortunately, & this is going to take a little longer than first thought.
We knew there were gonna be a few issues once the works started, however we hadn't envisaged the scale (or the additional costs) that these would involve, unfortunately.

We will continue to post updates on progress on here, just to keep you all in the loop, but for now we're gonna try & enjoy Christmas before work starts again...💪

But thought we'd share some pics of what's been going on behind the shutters!
We've uncovered a gorgeous big window, which we're now thinking we should open up to brighten up the shop...who agrees?? 🤔💡
Also, finding 50p Double Deckers under the shelves, God only knows how long they've been there!! 🙈

NOTICE!
Just to advise, our card machine crashed last night, & is still not operable this morning.
As a result, please note we will only be able to accept cash payments, until the issue, whatever it is is rectified, which we are working hard to do!
This also means we will be un able to process any bill payments.
We will post to update as & when this is sorted out, in the meantime, please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience.

NOTICE!! 📢

This is a polite reminder to customers, that we must not allow any dogs into store!
(With the exception of guide dogs!)

It has been reiterated & once again brought to our attention by authorities, that dogs, or any animal for that matter must not be brought into the store.
This includes small dogs who are being carried!

We are an establishment where fresh food produce is available, therefore in line with food hygiene laws, dogs are not allowed under any circumstances.

This is not a new rule, there has always been a sign on the door to advise customers of this, & we kindly ask that this is adhered to.

There is a hook on the wall outside, so dogs can be secured whilst you are in the store.

We thank you in advance for your cooperation.
