Hi everyone 👋 hope you are well 😀.. Derek has had some good news.. They got all the cancer when they did the operation on his ear 😀.. That being said Derek is still delivering by van on the L and L and the Lancaster canal.. The boat and the business is still up for sale, and there have been a few enquiries.. But until it is sold Derek will still deliver diesel, coal and gas as required. Thanks for your custom 😀

Hi everyone 👋 hope you are well 😀.. This is an update on Derek's health.. When he was attending the ENT Department for the cancer on his ear they also did a few scans of his head and neck, when he attended the ENT clinic yesterday he was told he had 90% stenosis in his artery and they had done an urgent referral to the vascular surgeons at Manchester Royal Infirmary. He is now waiting for an appointment to see them. His surgery on his ear is on the 22nd of April.. All this being said.. He desperately needs help at the boat to fill drums and carry them to the van, also coal and gas.. Please bear with him at this time he is extremely tired and not well, the orders will be filled but it will be as and when he is able .. If anyone can help please ring or text him.. Hi everyone 👋 hope you are well 😀.. Due to Derek's on going health problems, he is having to cut back on the deliveries. So deliveries will only be on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday unless it's an emergency.
Also due to his health issues he will be putting Ambush and the business up for sale. So if anyone is interested or knows someone who might be interested please contact Derek privately and not on here.

Hi everyone 👋 hope you are all well 😀.. I know it looks like Ambush Canal Services had dropped off the face of the earth, but let me assure you we haven't. The last few months have been very difficult with our daughter being in hospital all over Christmas with meningitis and sepsis, and our son got an infection in his eye and was told he could lose his sight ( he didn't thank god ) then there is Derek himself who is battling prostate cancer and on new medication which makes him very tired.. He now also has skin cancer on his ear and could lose most of it.
All that being said Derek is taking a well earned break next week, so there will be no deliveries from Monday the 23rd to Saturday the 28th of March. Please no phone calls text only if you want to place an order, Derek needs to relax and chill for a few days. Thank you for your understanding and support 👋😀

Hi everyone 👋 hope you are all well 😀 and had a lovely Christmas and New Year.. This is just a gentle reminder that there are no deliveries tomorrow Friday 9th January, please do not ring Derek send a text instead and he will pick it up. Also after Saturday 10th there will be no diesel until Monday the 12th.

Hi everyone 👋 hope you are all well 😀.. I'm sure you all know some parts of the canal system are closed, and this is just to let you know that Derek is still delivering diesel, coal and gas by road so please support him and Ambush. On the mention of Ambush she is in desperate need of repairs, and Derek is looking for a group of people who can spare time to help him totally clean her out so she can be put on dock. He is also looking for anyone who knows how to apply for lottery funding, as the repairs are going to be very costly. Derek is coming up to be 81 years old this month, and he would appreciate people coming to help as this will motivate him to get stuck in and get Ambush ready to go back on the canal, as he feels that because Ambush hasn't been out on the canal delivering to boats that people have lost interest in preserving this 92 year old lady. This is a on going project that needs lots of time, energy and volunteers to get Ambush up and running again. Please Please if you can help in any way contact Derek for more details. 🙏🙏😁😁

Hi everyone hope you are all well 😀..It has been a few months since anything was posted on the page, and I bet you all were thinking that Ambush Canal Services had fallen off the face of the earth 🌍.. But no it is still going and Derek is still delivering by road, but it is mainly on the Lancaster Canal as trade seems to have dwindled off on the L & L. Ambush is still tied up at Crooke waiting much needed repairs, but hopefully these will be done in the summer with funds from the H & R society, volenteers and time. PLEASE NOTE.. There will be NO deliveries from next Tuesday the 8th of April to the 13th of April, as Derek is having a much needed break .. Normal deliveries will commence on the 14th of April..
