It might not be hot outside (yet) but it’s been a scorching Saturday morning in the Kitchen here 🥵

11 Quiches, 3 big Pies, 24 Sausage Rolls, 40 Scones, Chocolate Cake, Coffee Cake, Victoria Sponge, 24 Cupcakes, Border Tart, 24 Mini Carrot Cake Loaves, Bacon, Croissants & Vanilla Crowns, as well as filled rolls & the ALL dishes!!!

So the counter is stocked ready for a busy day and then tomorrow you will not only find us in the shop but also in Chatton Village Hall where we will be providing lots of tasty treats & coffee while you browse the stalls at the Northern Artisan Market between 10am-4pm so pop by and see us.

This afternoon at 5pm we will be on the Common to play Rounders as usual.

And don’t forget this afternoon it’s Ford Fest at Ford Castle.

It’s been a chaotic old week and I can’t wait to get back to some normality on Monday! 😂

It’s gonna be a scorcher today! ☀️it’s already been a very hot & very early start for me in the kitchen 🥵 This shop with all its fridges working overtime & belting out the heat is not my favourite place to be! 😳

Today we have Hot Pork Stotties with Stuffing & Apple Sauce on between 11.30am-1pm. We already have quite a few orders in and when it’s gone it’s gone. Drop us a message if you don’t want to miss out!

Counter is jam packed as always so pop in and grab a treat! We also have plenty of cold drinks, ice creams & alcohol to help you all enjoy a lovely day in the sun!

So if you haven’t already heard, yesterday was much more special than just our trip to London 👶🏼 Our second Granchild was born 🫶🏻 They say it takes a whole village to raise a child and I know you all can’t wait to meet this little one. Mum & Baby are doing well and came home this afternoon. Congratulations to Lauren, Jordan & Arlo who I’m sure will make the best Big Brother! ❤️

It was wonderful to meet Lynsey and Alan - the team behind the Best Village Shop in the North of England! ☀️

Unfortunately they didn't make it all the way at the national awards yesterday, but it was lovely to chat about their incredible work (and in my mind they're the real winners anyway).

Next time you're in the area, pick up a quiche or treat at the Lowick Village Store. They are (officially) the best in the business.

Well it wasn’t to be, unfortunately! At least the sun is shining (it’s flipping hot!) in London! ☀️Maybe we should try 3rd time lucky as it wasn’t the first or second time! Well done to all those who won, we all know that you get no where in this life without working hard!

Again, and as always, thanks for all your support, your messages & kind words, it means the world to us that you are all so invested in our little family business 🫶🏻

To my little family and also Abbie & Gill, our latest Team members, I look forward to a very busy Summer of hard work & plenty of laughs.

And to my amazing right hand person in the shop, Lauren, a huge thank you for all you do, not just behind the counter but in keeping me sane & motivated when I think I have almost given up.
