Peacefully at the Morlich Ward, New Craigs, on 24th May 2026, Edward Andrew Tipping (Eddie) 2 Plock Road, Kyle, aged 71 years.
Much loved dad, grandad, great-grandad, brother and friend to many. A gathering for family and close friends will be held in the funeral home of William T Fraser & Son, Culduthel Road, Inverness on Thursday 4th June at 10:00am followed by a private cremation.

All family and friends are warmly invited to a celebration of Eddie’s life at the King Haakon Bar, Kyleakin, on Saturday 6th June at 5:00pm.

Unexpectedly, on Tuesday 28th April 2026, with his family by his side, Ian Alexander Carr (Sandy), Heatherbank, Auchtertyre, aged 83 years. Retired Game Keeper, Inverinate Estate. Beloved husband of Isobel, greatly loved father of Linda and Ian, loving grandfather to Anya, Lily and Chloe, dear brother to the late Sheddie, Marjorie and James and great friend to many. Funeral service on Thursday 14th May at 1.00pm in Inverinate Church; thereafter to Clachan Duich Burial Ground. All friends welcome to attend. Peacefully, in her sleep, at her own home on Monday 4th May 2026, Marion MacRae, 20 St Duthac Drive, Dornie, formerly Braeview, Dornie aged 79 years. Dear wife of the late Donald MacRae, loving aunt, great-aunt, great-great aunt and good friend to many. Funeral Service will be held in Inverinate Church on Wednesday 13th May at 2.00pm followed by interment at Clachan Duich cemetery. A warm welcome is extended to all who knew her. Lochalsh Go Marching on!
What a night under the lights in Plockton. With some new faces in the squad lochalsh were keen to get a win under our belts. After a cagey first 20 minutes a penalty was awarded to fort William after our keeper took down the striker in the box. It was converted to make it 1-0 to fort William. It took until 40 minutes for Lochalsh to reply when David MacAskill forced a save off the keeper and the rebound was slammed in by captain Ryan grant. The second half started strong for Lochalsh but a set piece corner from fort William was turned in on the 60th minute. It took 10 minutes for Lochalsh to go even again when a header on from David MacAskill found Ryan who cut inside and curled in past the keeper to make it 2-2.
David and Ryan both forced some saves from the fort keeper but it was the fort who would grab a late goal. A long distance shot caught our keeper off his line to make it 3-2 on the 87th minute. For the 70 spectators it looked all but over until a scramble in the box wasn’t dealt with a Ryan Grant bagged his hatrick with a beautiful snapshot into the bottom corner. With no time left on the clock a ball in from manager Joe Russell was hand balled in the box and the penalty was dispatched coolly by David MacAskill to grab the Lochalsh men their first ever win!
A brilliant night for the boys, what a result. We’re into the next round of the cup! ⚫️🟡
