Derfor gør vi også en dyd ud af at have et tæt samarbejde med vores leverandører og kunder. Alt vin er egen import, og derfor finder du også en lang række helt unikke vine hos os. Selv om meget har ændret sig siden 1986, er vores motto derfor stadig det samme: bedre vin for pengene.

Nyhed hos BECHS Vine ApS.

DOMAINE DIGIOIA-ROYER
Domaine Digioia-Royer er en tredje generations vingård, grundlagt i 1930'erne. Vingården dækker 5 hektar, fordelt mellem parceller med regionale, kommunale og Premier cru appellationer i Chambolle-Musigny, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Savigny-les-Beaune og Hautes Côtes de Nuits.

Vingården er High Environmental Value-certificeret(HVE). Denne certificering er med til at fremme en respektfuldhed over for miljø, natur og biodiversitet.

Markerne bearbejdes helt mekanisk uden kemi og grøn høst. Afbudsning, opbinding og polardering udføres manuelt. Druerne er høstet i hånden og helt afstilket. De fleste af vinene er lagret på egetræsfade i mellem 6 og 18 måneder.

Vingården og kælderen er også placeret på ejendommen som ligger i hjertet af Chambolle-Musigny.

Netop i disse dage lander vinene vores nye italienske/sicilianske producent Barone di Bernaj fra hos BECHS Vine.

Vi har hos BECHS Vine længe været på udkig efter velsmagende og prisrigtige vine fra Sicilien, og med vinene fra Barone di Bernaj er vi langt om længe nået i mål.

Terre Siciliane - fremragende vin siden antikken
Terre Siciliane er et vinområde, der ikke overraskende ligger på Sicilien. Som ø er Sicilien, er kendt for sin frugtbare jord og lange historie for fremstilling af vin, der går tilbage til oldtidens grækere og siden romere. Terre Siciliane, som betyder "sicilianske lande", omfatter en stor del af øen og er hjemsted for mange forskellige druesorter.

Regionen er kendetegnet ved sit mangfoldige terroir, som spænder fra de varme og solrige kystsletter til de køligere og højere beliggende bjergområder. Det varierede terræn giver mulighed for, at en bred vifte af druesorter kan blomstre, herunder den velkendte Nero d'Avola og Nerello Mascalese såvel som de mindre kendte Frappato, Grillo og Catarratto.

Terre Siciliane vinene bliver ofte hyldet for deres fyldige og komplekse smag og aroma, der afspejler regionens unikke miljø.

Casa Santos Lima – Portugal
Casa Santos Lima is a family-owned company dedicated to the production, bottling and selling of Portuguese wines. The company is present in the regions of Lisboa, Algarve, Alentejo, Vinho Verde, Acores and Douro.

Casa Santos Lima was created to ensure the continuous development of Santos Lima’s wine producing activity created several generations ago. This activity was first started by Joaquim Santos Lima, who, by the turn of 19th century, was already a great producer and exporter of Portuguese wines. Maria João Santos Lima and José Luís Santos Lima Oliveira da Silva, granddaughter and great grandson of the founder, relaunched Casa Santos Lima in 1990, replanting most of the vines, improving agricultural techniques and modernizing all its productive structure.

Casa Santos Lima was recognized as the "Best Portuguese Producer" by the prestigious international wine competition – "Mundus Vini". This is not the first time that the company is selected in this category, since Casa Santos Lima also received this trophy by the "Berliner Wein Trophy" competition. This distinction highlights the excellent positioning and work done both internationally and nationally.

Domaine de Dionysos – Rhône - Cairanne
This is a story which started during the Plague of Marseille in 1720. The Farjon’s family fled the city during this epidemic and set themselves up in the hills of Uchaux. This little colony very rapidly became a hamlet which is still called today Uchaux les Farjon.

The Farjon’s family has been growing vines for 7 generations.

In 1974, Robert Farjon gave the name “Dionysos” to the Domaine as a tribute to the Greek God of wine, and vines.

In 1980, his son, André Farjon, joined the Domaine and spent about 30 years working on its development. André brought several evolutions to the Domaine de Dionysos.

Benjamin, André’s son, took over after he had his oenologist diploma. He works with the collaboration of Michel Berger, his brother-in-law. They joined the Domaine between 2011 and 2012.

Pitars – Friuli - Veneto
The first traces of the link between wine, vines, the lands of the Grave del Friuli and our family – the Pittaro family – date back to 1644.
In the early twentieth century Romano Pittaro, an expert winemaker, planted Merlot, a vine imported into Friuli from France in 1880. However, it was his son Angelo, after fifteen years in Venezuela, who built a modern winery – the Cantina San Martino – in 1968, where he also made white wines, which at that time had become the protagonists of Friuli’s wine production.

Later, the Cantina San Martino will take the name of Pitars, following the destiny of the family name in local dialect. This surname in our brand is still associated with hawthorn, a frank but elegant plant that once marked the boundaries between the fields.

Today the rural family tradition and the craft of making good wine, with pride and dedication, day after day is kept alive by Loris, Bruno, Mauro, Paolo and the fourth generation of us Pitars: Nicola, Stefano and Alessandro.

Born as research activities with universities and companies, in the vineyards we adopted what have become good agricultural practices for sustainable viticulture, respectful of health and the environment.
From targeted phytosanitary treatments with recovery sprayers, already tested in the early 2000s, to the most efficient defoliating machines. From 100% biological plant protection products which stimulate the natural defences of the plants, to pheromones to protect the vineyards from parasites.

We use alternative systems to herbicides as much as possible to keep the vines free from weeds. In addition, we limit water consumption with underground irrigation systems, which are also used to feed the vines with fertigation.

The use of resources is also rationalized in the cellar. For example, we use energy from renewable sources and heat recovery from winemaking processes.

We also adopt sustainability from an architectural point of view. Our headquarters were completed in 2007 and is still today the largest green building in Friuli Venezia Giulia: no cement, only wood and totally recyclable materials and maximum energy efficiency.

Azienda Agricola Marion - Veneto
Azienda Agricola Marion is a small, family-run business based in an old country villa once owned by the Counts Marioni just to the east of Verona, it was acquired by Stefano Campedeli along with his wife Nicolette and brother Marco in 1988. Their philosophy of winemaking is based on constant care and attention during all phases of production, beginning of course in the vineyards. Winemaking is in the hands of Celestino Gaspari, a winemaker for twenty years at Quintarelli and consultant winemaker at Dal Forno.

The Marion agricultural firm, situated in the uncontaminated valley of Marcellise to the East of Verona, is a small, family-run business managed by Stefano Campedelli, together with his wife Nicoletta and brother Marco. The firm's philosophy is centred on constant care and attention during all phases of wine production, starting first and foremost from the running of the vineyards, organised along strict lines to achieve maximum protection for the natural balance of the plants. The vines are situated in a foothill area with plenty of sunshine and have partly been reconverted to guyot, a plant training system which enables a higher quality grape yield to be achieved. Ability, perseverance and hard work are the factors which have enabled this firm to produce wines such as Valpolicella Superiore, Amarone, Cabernet Sauvignon and Teroldego, fine-bodied wines with personality, able at the first sip to express that "terroir" which few producers are able to exalt to the full.

The firm's premises are located in a splendid, fifteenth century villa which once belonged to the Counts Marioni, large landowners in the Verona area. The Campedelli family acquired the property in 1988, but after a long period of renovation on the old building, when the surrounding countryside was also cleared and reorganized, were vines first planted. Initially production went to the Cantina Sociale di Colognola ai Colli, until 1994 when the owners sensed the potential of the land together with the micro-climate of the area and, encouraged by Celestino Gaspari, decided to experiment with their own independent, quality production.

This was the start of the Azienda Agricola Marion, the term used by local inhabitants for the village which was the home of this noble Estate The new complex includes only six of the total of seventeen hectares and from 1999, which marks the first year of own label marketing, to the present production averages around 25,000 bottles a year, winning the appreciation of an ever-demanding market right from the outset.

There are various ways of partial drying, but we are sure that the traditional method is still the most effective for achieving the best results. Our grapes are carefully selected on the vine and then harvested and placed in small wooden boxes which are subsequently transferred to well-aired rooms called "fruttai" in Italian. This is where the bunches are further selected before being placed for a resting period on our traditional "arele", which are low wooden racks lined with bamboo mats. The main aspect of the grape appassimento process, which can last from two to four months, is the drying of the grapes, which consequently leads to an increase in the sugar content and the extracts in general.

Nuiton-Beaunoy - Bourgogne – Côte D’or
"Since 1957, the Nuiton-Beaunoy have been proud to hold the banner high for the values and quality. We are passionate about our region and proud of our vines. A region rich in vineyards deeply rooted in the slopes of the Côte de Beaune, Côte de Nuits, Les Hautes-Côtes de Beaune and Hautes-Côtes de Nuits. The vineyards of the Cave des Hautes-Côtes are spread over a region made up of a mosaic of climates, producing a wide variety of wines from the famous Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grape varieties.

150 million years ago, the plains of the Côte d’Or region were flooded by the Tethys Sea, a tropical body of salt water. Another 30 million years would pass before the event that shaped the Hautes-Côtes: the formation of the Alps. This led to the collapse of the plain, which had been slowly subsiding for 115 million years, producing a clean break with the limestone plateau.

The Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grape varieties thrive on the extreme complexity of the land and climate (“terroir”), giving rise to a variety of exceptional properties.

Nuiton-Beaunoy supports a responsible environmental policy, promoting respect for the vines, the growing region and its people. Nuiton-Beaunoy has therefore committed to the “Vignerons Développement Durable” (sustainable development for wine growers) initiative, which promotes a viable, fair and sustainable approach. This label guarantees that economic growth takes place with respect for the environment, as well as for social concerns and impact on the region.

Cantina Visconti – Toscana - Montalcino
The winery was founded in 1990 by Carla Visconti and her family, focusing on the organic production of DOCG wines in Castelnuovo dell'Abate, a medieval hamlet situated in the heart of the Val d'Orcia, a UNESCO world heritage site. The vineyards are located on the south-eastern slope of Montalcino, in the valley of the Abbey of Sant’Antimo along the Via Francigena.

Situated on the promontory overlooking the valley of the Abbey of Sant’Antimo, about 350 metres above sea level at the foot of the Mount Amiata volcano, the Visconti winery produces wine with the utmost care and respect for the environment following organic and vegan principles. The mixed soil is mostly stony limestone, and a microclimate created by the natural barrier of Mount Amiata, Poggio d’Arna, and the Orcia River, gives rise to fragrant wines that are rich in colour, with a pleasant acidity and tannins. Today the winery has 15 hectares Sangiovese, and it is certified as an organic and vegan winery.

Our philosophy is to produce wines that respect the health and well-being of consumers, bringing small, loose clusters of organic Sangiovese grapes to the winery. The mixed nature of the land, exposure, microclimate, and age of the vines come together to define the concept of terroir and the identity of our wines, made following the traditional winemaking process.

The winery is very aware of the value of environmental sustainability, and has developed projects related to energy savings, the use of recycled materials, and innovative solutions with a low environmental impact.

Luigi Voghera – Piemonte - Nieve
The farm is located in Neive, one of the most known countries for the production of great wines. It is situated in the hamlet of Tetti, a little village immersed in the sweet hills of the Langhe.

Since 1974, the owner, Voghera Luigi, together with his wife, Pinuccia, has tried to achieve the vinification of all the most important and sought-after vintage wines of this area; and they succeeded in doing that.

Today his land covers 22 hectares, purchased and cultivated with care. The farm has always looked for best and particular positions and grounds for its production, such as “IL BASARIN”.

Produced wines, all obtained from owned grapes, are BARBARESCO – a very sought-after vintage wine – together with the equally appreciated vintage wines BARBERA, DOLCETTO, NEBBIOLO, FREISA, MOSCATO, ARNEIS, CHARDONNAY and FAVORITA.

Azienda Agricola Di Meo – Campania
In the early 80s, Erminia, Generoso and Roberto Di Meo acquired the historical estate from their parents Vittorio and Alessandrina, located in the province of Avellino, in the area of Salza Irpina. The estate, a beautiful 18th-century farmhouse that was once a hunting lodge of the Caracciolo Prince, is surrounded by mild and breezy hillsides.

The goal of the three brothers was to produce wines from the most widespread native varieties in Irpinia, like Fiano, Greco, Aglianico and Coda di volpe, and promote the value of cultural and regional traditions.

So, they decided to plant vineyards and, in 1986 they started producing the first set of wines of the family: This is the moment that winery Di Meo was born.

While the Irpinia wine underwent a period of strong growth, with the important accreditation of the DOCG Fiano di Avellino, Greco di Tufo and Taurasi and the growth of a significant quality wine sector, the oenological project of the Di Meos Brothers evolved very quickly: besides the production of wines in the best areas of the province, they started the production of liquors, spirits and other food irpinian products as well, and in a few years the company was definitely set up as one of the most prestigious production companies in the region.

Today the company is run by Roberto, Oenologist, Winemaker and Sales Manager, and by Generoso, promoter of “Di Meo Vini ad Arte”, a project to enhance and spread worldwide the cultural heritage of Irpinia and Campania: after all, like wine, this is a way to celebrate the family link with the territory and offer its history to contemporary taste.
