It’s no secret that we’ve been facing challenges finding dependable people who want to be part of the Manikin Center team. Our hope is to turn that around — to build something stronger together and make the store an even better place to shop and work.

Here’s what we’ve done to move things forward:

👉 Better pay: We’ve raised the hourly wage for Cashiers and Clerks from $20.56 to $25.00, and other positions have also received increases.

👉 Flexible scheduling: Everyone has a say in their availability. We build the schedule around that, because balance matters.

👉 Leadership and support: Richard Tallon is here to train, listen, and guide. Anyone who knows Richard knows he brings heart and care into everything he does — and he’s determined to leave a positive legacy for the store and the community it serves.

The Manikin Center has been asked whether the community would appreciate having non-alcoholic beverages—such as alcohol-free beer, wine, mojitos, gin & tonic, and more—available on our shelves.

Since our community is dry, we want to respect everyone’s values and opinions before making any decision.
