Trying to stay cool on this summer day? We sell ice cream sandwiches, iced teas and coffees, bags of ice, and other ice-releated treats.

We are also stocked up on gluten free bread and treats from SchoolHouse Gluten Free gourmet!

Finally, Crafternoon starts today at 2pm! Bring a craft or grab one of the many craft kits we have for sale. Come alone or with a friend!

Something I am struck with again and again is that Haritha makes the most beautiful food. In addition to always wanting to balance flavours, he cares so much about presentation. His food pics are always so much more striking than mine as well. I'm thankful for his perspective, in every sense of the word!

What I'm saying is, this quiche and this cheesecake are worth braving the crummy weather for! Come see us in Port Medway, every day from 10am to 5pm.

My magical friend Jairus Khan took so many great tea tray pics yesterday that I just have to share another one, alongside today's tea menu!

We have been working towards this Afternoon Tea launch for a month now, and I am so thrilled it is finally here. Come by for a beautiful meal until 5pm today (or until we run out).

I have so much gratitude for the dream team of Haritha Gnanaratna and Morag Schonken for making this vision a delicious reality.

(We also have our regular soups and sandwiches and sweet treats available for anyone looking for something less elaborate!)

I'm so excited to launch our weekend Afternoon Tea, which we will be serving every Saturday and Sunday alongside our regular food options!

Each person will get a pot of tea of their choice, three types of mini scones with butter and jam, three kinds of sandwiches, and three different desserts.

Cost is $25 per person (so the "tea for two" pictured here is $50). We are happy to serve groups of any size, as long as we don't run out of things!

We're so excited about this, and can't wait for you to try it! Come see us on the South Shore at 1615 Port Medway Road. We are at Exit 17A off of the 103. 🫖 ♥️ 💌

Some wonderful news! The delightful and multi-talented Morag has joined the team, dividing her time between working with Haritha in the kitchen and planning the overhaul of our backyard. We feel so lucky to have found someone who can tackle both projects with such enthusiasm and imagination.

Here's a fun connection: Morag and I grew up about nine minutes apart in Oshawa, but somehow we never crossed paths until we both ended up in Port Medway! She lives just up the road with her wife Suzanne, who we all already know and love.

Morag is also an incredible watercolor and textile artist, and has hands down the greatest laugh of anyone I've ever known.
