“Trump’s threats haven’t changed Iran’s posture"
— Tehran university’s Prof. Seyed marandi analyzes the widening us-iran conflict & gulf shipping standoff.
In a new interview on The Glenn Diesen, Prof. Seyed M. Marandi, former advisor to Iran’s Nuclear Negotiation Team, says Iran continues to shut the Strait of Hormuz to ships linked to Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar. He noted that despite Trump’s threats to “annihilate Iran,” Tehran has not backed down, and even after two ships were targeted, the US has not responded with strikes on Iranian infrastructure. The discussion also covered escalating attacks by Yemen’s Houthis on Saudi oil facilities and the wider US-Iran conflict in the region.
