I REMEMBER WHEN I DIDN'T LIKE WINE BUT THESE DAYS, LIFE'S TOO SHORT TO BE DRINKING CRAP WINE. I'VE ONLY BECOME A WINE TRAGIC SINCE 2009. TEZ

I'VE BEEN LUCKY TO HAVE MET INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE HELPED SHAPED MY PALETTE TO WHAT IT IS TODAY. THANK YOU TO THOSE WHO HAVE HELPED AND TO THOSE WHOM I HAVE YET TO MEET IN MY WINE JOURNEY. WINE IS MADE FOR SHARING WITH FRIENDS, FAMILY, ACQUAINTANCES AND EVEN STRANGERS AT A WINE SHOW, WINERY OR WINE SHOP. I FIGURED THAT I'VE TASTED AND TRIED TOO MANY GOOD WINES SINCE 2009 NOT TO SHARE THOSE MOMENTS.

THIS BLOG IS AN AVENUE FOR ME TO SHARE MY WINE JOURNEY WITH EVERYONE WHO WILL GIVE ME THE TIME OF DAY TO WHOM I RAISE MY GLASS TO. TO THIS DAY I HAVE SPENT COUNTLESS HOURS READING ON ALL THINGS WINE AND I'M SURE THERE ARE MANY MORE HOURS TO COME. ITS INTERESTING TO ME TO READ THE COUNTLESS REVIEWS FROM THE NOTABLE WINE CRITICS AND REVIEWERS OUT THERE WHICH OFTEN WILL DETERMINE WHAT I BUY AND TRY. WHILST THIS MAKES SENSE TO ME IT DOESN'T TO MY FRIENDS. I WANT TO SHOW THEM THAT WINE IS A JOURNEY. IN THE END, THEIR PALETTES WILL ULTIMATELY DECIDE IF THEY LIKE IT OR NOT. 2010 Quartz Chardonnay. An absolute delight!! So much complexity and layers. Such precision from start to finish. Leaves you salivating for more. I luv the creamy minerality. Take a bow Michael.

Vintage is upon us and the sugar levels are starting to go up. Nets are essential to keep out the pesky grape gobblers who have an insatiable appetite for the tasty grapes.

It is wine wednesday and thought I'd just get into the kitchen and make a duck omelette accompanied by a glass of 2013 Bindi Block 5 Pinot Noir. This is truely one of Australia's best blocks when it comes to pinot noir. I can honestly say that I've never had a bad vintage of Bindi Block 5 pinot noir. Only gets better as the vines get older. So light in colour and deceiving (You can can see in the second pic how light it actually is). On the palette, it is ethereal and explodes with so much flavour onto the long delicate finish. Its a superb drop. One of my favourites.

I remember when I didn't like wine but these days, life is too short to be drinking crap wine.

I've only become a wine tragic since 2009. I've been lucky to meet individuals who have helped shaped my palette to what it is today. Thank you to those who have helped and to those whom i have yet to meet in my wine journey.

Wine is made for sharing with friends, family, acquaintances and even strangers at a wine show, winery or wine shop. I figured that I’ve tasted and tried too many good wines since 2009 not to share those moments. This blog is an avenue for me to share my wine journey with everyone who will give me the time of day to whom I raise my glass.

To this day I have spent countless hours reading on all things wine and I’m sure there are many more hours to come. It’s interesting to me to read the countless reviews from the notable wine critics and reviewers out there which often will determine what I buy and try. Whilst this makes sense to me it doesn't to my friends. I want to show them that wine is a journey. In the end, their palettes will ultimately decide if they like it or not.
